Football West Club Changer Lead Karen Hennessy said: “Thanks to everyone who attended the first Club Development Conference hosted by Football West, we were thrilled to help the clubs prepare for the 2025 season.

“The feedback we have received from presenters and attendees was overwhelmingly positive and we will look to make this an annual event.

“We are extremely grateful to the presenters for sharing their expertise, with some coming from interstate. There was great engagement throughout the day and hopefully people who attended are even more prepared for the new season.

“It was great that we attracted such wide interest in the event. As well as metro clubs, we had people who travelled from Denmark, Margeret River, Karratha, and Geraldton. It was a chance also to promote the Club Changer program and the benefits for clubs to get involved.

“Finally, a word for the Football Futures Foundation who do great work in the inclusion area. There were over 100 players associated with the foundation at the conference and they helped make it such a special day.”
