Joondalup City and Kingsley Westside each hold an advantage heading into next week's semi-final, second legs of the NPL/Division One inter-divisional play-offs.
Joondalup City beat UWA Nedlands 3-1 at Iluka. Mason Gallagher, Callum Stocks and Harry Edwards netted for City with Jordan Pokler replying for a Uni side that missed out on automatic promotion to Dianella White Eagles on the final day.
At Chichester Park, in-form Max Adamson struck twice for Kingsley as they defeated Fremantle City 2-1. Paul Zimarino's header did bring Freo level, but they need to turn the tie around at home or they will be relegated from the NPL.
In the State League Division One/Division Two inter-divisional play-offs, Cockburn City and Forrestfield United secured late 2-1 wins in their respective semi-final, first-leg matches.
An Aaron Doyle own goal saw Cockburn claim victory over East Perth in a game moved to Cabrini Park. James Bourne had put the visitors in front from the spot, with Gavin Dillon equalising for East Perth.
Sherwin Tucker was Forrestfield's match-winner against Kalamunda City at Crazy Domains Stadium. Kalamunda struck first through Andrea Erbetta while Cooper Holland brought Forrestfield on terms.
The second legs of both games are next Saturday, with Kalamunda facing relegation from Division One should they not overturn their one-goal deficit.
