Jaguar go clear in Belt Up Amateur Premier Division

Jaguar have moved into pole position in the Belt Up Amateur Premier Division title race after opening a five-point gap with just three matches to play.
The State League hopefuls beat Quinns 2-1 on the weekend, while nearest rivals Maddington White City, East Perth and Kwinana United all dropped points.
That means Jaguar could become champions this Sunday if they beat East Perth and Maddington and Kwinana both fail to win.
Mabor Thomas put Jaguar in front on nine minutes at Herb Graham Recreation Centre, but the lead was short-lived with Ryan McCready levelling inside two minutes for Quinns.
Jaguar were not to be denied, however, and Magai Deng scored what proved to be the winner just before the hour.
Maddington, who missed out on promotion on the final day 12 months ago, drew 2-2 away to second-bottom Queens Park.
All the goals came in the first half. Jose Zuniga struck first for City from the penalty spot on eight minutes, before Justine Kaupa converted a penalty for Queens Park 10 minutes before the break. Alexander Fazekas then put the hosts 2-1 up and though Samir Ramos quickly equalised, Maddington were unable to find a winner after the break.
East Perth began the day in second place but dropped a position after crashing 3-0 at Kelmscott Roos.
The home side led at the break thanks to some outstanding wing play from Lemeo Wordu, who wizardry was coolly finished off by Ishmael Greywood.
East Perth stayed in the game until late on, when two goals in three minutes from Bradley Kazich and Wordu put the game to bed for Roos who have now won their last eight games.
Another side left to rue a missed opportunity were fourth-place Kwinana United, after they were held 1-1 by bottom of the table Joondalup United. Mustafa Mkanza netted the opener for Kwinana in the first half, with United skipper Adam Taylor securing his team a valuable point after the break.
Harry Browne’s stoppage-time goal put the cap on Wembley Downs’ 4-2 win at North Perth United.
Luke Thistlethwaite, Jack Mellor and Cameron Chambers were Wembley's other scorers while United replied through Nickolas Bailey and a James Rushton-Woods penalty.
Finally, the mid-table clash between Emerald and Peel United went the way of the visitors 2-1. Mitchell Kelman and Jack Richardson had United in charge, and despite Ryan Murray's goal for Emerald it wasn't enough.
