Kinglsey beat Mandurah on penalties to win State League Night Series

Kingsley Westside held their nerve to win the 2025 State League Night Series last night.
Richie Abrams’ side claimed the pre-season trophy after they defeated Mandurah City on penalties at the Sam Kerr Football Centre.
Kingsley captain Robbie Linford scored the decisive spot-kick to clinch a 6-5 shoot-out victory after the match had finished goalless.
"It's great to win a trophy and a great confidence builder going into the new season," said Linford, who joined the club at the start of the year after moving from England.
Max Adamson and Luke Salmon spurned good chances for Kingsley in the second half, while Mandurah’s Ben Gallagher headed over when well placed.
Kingsley keeper Mateusz Zaniewski, who is on loan from Perth SC, was named player of the match.
Football West would like to thank City of Canning Deputy Mayor Mark Bain for assisting Football West Chair Sherif Andrawes with the presentation.
