The Matildas in the South West: don't miss out on these FREE activations

The CommBank Matildas’ first international fixture in regional WA is less than four weeks away.

New head coach Joe Montemurro will bring the Australian Senior Women’s National Team to WA for four matches, including a game against Panama at Hands Oval in Bunbury on Saturday 5 July.

To celebrate the occasion, Football West is holding two FREE activations – a Women in Leadership workshop and a Regional Girls Day Out.

Women in Leadership workshop - Bunbury

Football West and Football Australia will hold a Women in Leadership workshop in Bunbury on Friday 4 July at the South West Phoenix clubrooms (5.30-8pm).

This initiative is free of charge and open to all women and girls aged 16+ who are involved in sport as volunteers, coaches, referees, media, players, presidents, committee members, board members and paid employees.

The workshop will bring women together from football and other sporting codes to share their experiences, examine leadership styles, discuss engaging and influencing stakeholders and learn the value of networking.

The program looks to develop an individual’s skills and knowledge, while building confidence in women to pursue leadership roles and/or take the next step in their career.
