New coaches in place for Women's NPL Night Series

The NPLWA - Women's Night Series begins this weekend.

The opening two games are from Group B on Saturday at Ellenbrook United, with Fremantle City, under new head coach Faye Chambers, facing Murdoch University Melville (6.30pm). This is followed by the Perth SC-Subiaco clash at 8.30pm.

On Sunday attention turns to Group A at E&D Litis Stadium. Night Series holders Perth RedStar, who went through the entire 2022 campaign unbeaten and lifted all four available trophies, go up against Hyundai NTC at 5pm. Then at 7pm it's Balcatta Etna v Curtin University, who now have former WA State player and experienced coach Alan Armstrong in charge.

All teams will play the other teams in their group on a round-robin basis with the top two advancing to the semi-finals, which will be played on the weekend of 11-12 March.

The final is on Sunday 19 March at a venue to be confirmed.
