North Beach striker Kretowicz named Belt Up Amateur Premier Division Player of the Year

Football West last night celebrated the first of three successive awards nights at the Sam Kerr Football Centre with the joint Belt Up Amateur, Metro and Masters Leagues and Women’s League end-of-season presentations.

The Belt Up Amateur Premier Division Player of the Year award went to North Beach striker Alexander Kretowicz, whose incredible tally of 38 goals also won him the Golden Boot and helped his side return to State League Division Two for the first time in 48 years.

North Perth United’s Jason Winter was named Premier Division Coach of the Year after leading his side to a league and cup double, while North Perth keeper Cian Flynn picked up the Goalkeeper of the Year trophy.

North Beach won the Premier Division Fair Play Award.

Football West thanks the Insurance Commission of Western Australia who are the naming partners of the Belt Up competitions.

Insurance Commission Acting Chief of Operations Alison Wilson and Football West Chief Operating Officer Perry Ielati both spoke at the awards.

The State League and Women's League Division One awards take place tonight, with the Referee awards on Friday.

The 2025 NPLWA awards are next Thursday.
