NPLW Night Series: Sunday semi-finals confirmed

The semi-finals for the NPLWA – Women’s Night Series have been decided.
 
Fremantle City will face Perth SC while Balcatta Etna take on the Hyundai Football West Academy. 
 
The semi-fianls will be held at Dorrien Gardens this Sunday.
 
Fremantle wrapped up top spot in Group A last night as they ended Perth RedStar’s hopes of a fourth successive final appearance.
 
Freo’s 4-2 win maintained their 100% run in the competition, with Annabelle Leek scoring two and Janice Kiama and Leyna Wood one each. Jayna Ridley and Renee Leota got RedStar’s goals.
 
The Academy team took second spot in the group after defeating Murdoch University Melville 6-0. Xuri Dalton (2), Klaudia Houlis (2), Sakura Leong and Cate McAuliffe were the scorers.
 
On Saturday, Balcatta clinched first place in Group B with a 5-2 win over Perth SC at Dorrien Gardens. Abbey Meakins (3) Mia Britton and Zoee Spadano were on target for Balcatta while Daisy McAllister scored both for the hosts.
 
Also on Saturday, Subiaco thrashed UWA Nedlands 9-1. Stella Zampogna and Tayna Campos scored hat-tricks, with Brooke Burdette, Greta Bailey and Kim Soyi on target for Subi. Amy Hartley netted for UWA.
