Hyundai NTC U13s are celebrating after they won the eight-team Malaysia Borneo U14s Cup.

Late goals from Savanna Glavovic and Ciara Upton gave the WA girls a 2-0 win in the final.

Salv Todaro’s side went through the tournament unbeaten, winning their group and semi-final before defeating Malaysian side SSM Sabah in the decider.

There was further good news with the two Gold Fields State Regional teams playing in the third-place play-off.

Football West ‘Black’ raced into a 3-0 half-time lead and despite a second-half rally from Football West ‘Gold’, it was FW ‘Black’ who won 3-2.

Teams from Malaysia, Australia, Philippines and Indonesia took part in the tournament.

The Malaysia Borneo Cup trip aligns with the Football West Asian Engagement Strategy.

Football West would like to thank the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries for its support and acknowledge Gold Fields Australia and Hyundai Australia as team name sponsors.
