Olympic Kingsway to face Mandurah in Night Series final
Olympic Kingsway will get the opportunity to go one better than last year when they face Mandurah City in the final of the Men's State League Night Series on Saturday.
Kingsway qualified for the final at Macedonia Park with a 3-0 win over UWA Nedlands on Wednesday night.
Daragh Kavanagh gave them the lead on 29 minutes, Jack Lavis added the second on 62 then Darus Flamo made the game safe five minutes from time.
In the other semi-final, also at Forrestfield United's Crazy Domains Stadium, Mandurah City defeated Subiaco 2-1. John Baird scored both of the Dolphins' goals, with Tim Page on target for Subiaco.
Saturday's final will kick off at 7pm and be live streamed on the Football West Facebook and YouTube pages.
Twelve months ago Olympic Kingsway lost in the Night Series final to Western Knights on their own ground. The result stopped them completing a clean sweep of trophies as, post-Covid, they went on to lift the State League Division One and Finals Series.
