Gabby Dal Busco was the hero as holders Perth RedStar reached the NPLWA - Women's Top Four Cup final on Sunday.

The RedStar keeper saved two spot-kicks as her side beat Perth SC 3-1 on penalties after their semi-final at RedStar Arena had finished 1-1 after extra-time.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday at Inglewood United's Proto DPS Stadium, but the weather made the pitch unplayable.

Ella Lincoln gave Perth SC a first-half lead, with Caitlin Doeglas equalising when she followed up to score after Dayle Schroder had saved Jayna Ridley's penalty.

In the shoot-out, Dal Busco denied Sam Mathers and Kim McCartney, before Ruby Marsahll fired over.

The Azzurri get a second opportunity to make next Saturday's final when they face Balcatta Etna at Dorrien Gardens this Tuesday night.

Balcatta bounced back from their State Cup final disappointment to keep their season alive with a 4-3 win over Hyundai Football West Academy.

Seven days on from their loss to Fremantle City, Balcatta returned to the Sam Kerr Football Centre to take on the Academy in a knockout Top Four Cup semi-final.

The Academy struck first through Emily Garnett, before Jamie-Lee Gale, Rachel Jarvis and Alyssa Van Heurck turned the game firmly in Balcatta's favour.

The Academy were not finished, however, and goals by Lacey Heys and Theo Mouithys took the tie into extra-time. Then with penalties looming, Balcatta went back ahead via a Daniella Santich own goal and that was enough to go through to a knockout game with Perth SC.
