Perth SC celebrate first NPLW title success

Congratulations to Perth SC who have clinched their first title in the NPLWA - Women's era.

 

Goals from Daisy McAllister, Jess Flannery and Maja Archibald set the Azzurri on their way to a 3-1 win at Balcatta Etna, who scored a late consolation through Izzy Foletta.

 

Balcatta were the only team who could have caught Perth SC going into the Round Six catch-up game, but the result puts Tom Glavovic's side out of reach with two games to spare.
 

In the other NPLW fixture played on Wednesday, Hyundai Football West Academy defeated Perth RedStar 4-1 to go above their opponents and into second place.

 

Emily Garnett, Zoe Dumont and Cate McAuliffe had the Academy three up inside half an hour. Jayna Ridley pulled one back from the spot before the interval, only for Klaudia Houlis to confirm the Academy's win in the second half.
