Pilbara youngsters out in force

A busy week for Football West last week with Manager - Female Football & Advocacy Tash Rigby and Referee Manager Dave Avison joining Pilbara Community Participation Officer Malin Marquardt in the northwest.

In four days they drove for over 20 hours, visiting Karratha, Port Hedland, Tom Price and Newman where they held six junior clinics, three referee courses and two coaching courses.

They engaged with 200 junior players and 11 coaches, as well as upskilling 21 new referees.

Ms Rigby said: "It was fantastic to see so many people across the Pilbara wanting to either play, coach or referee and a lot of credit should go to our CPO Malin, who is doing an incredible job in the region."
