Ramos keeps Maddington on front foot

Maddington White City and Quinns are the only clubs with 100% records two matches into the Belt Up Amateur Premier Division.

Samir Ramos scored a hat-trick to go with his first-round double as Maddington won 4-2 at Queens Park. Gaston Bazet scored City’s other, while Hakim Rezaie and Wesley Britz were on target for Queens Park.

Quinns also enjoyed a high-scoring away win, beating UWA Nedlands 4-3.

Ryan McCready gave Quinns a lead on three minutes, before UWA replied through Walter Torres and Blair Harding. Yet by half-time Quinns were back in front thanks to goals from Kieran Friett and captain David Long. The visitors looked to have made the points safe when Liam Hunt converted a penalty on 81 minutes, but there was still time for Torres to give them something to ponder in stoppage time with his second goal.

2020 champions North Perth United beat Hamersley Rovers 3-0. Javier Pineres Mestre put United ahead on 79 minutes and that was how it stayed until seven minutes into stoppage time when Andy O’Neill made it 2-0. And there was still time for another North Perth goal with Robert Faulkner adding the third.

Conor O’Driscoll and Mabor Thomas scored in Jaguar FC’s 2-0 win over South West Phoenix, Lachlan Chamberlain netted twice as Wembley Downs defeated Kwinana United 3-1 while Michael Correia earned Leeming Strikers a 1-1 draw against Joondalup United. Adam Buckley was on target for Joondalup.
