Amy Buchanan’s hat-trick helped Subiaco move three points clear in the Hyundai Women’s League Division One – yet the free-scoring striker still found herself replaced at the top of the league’s scoring chart.
That is after team-mate Sally Rojahn banged in six as Subi thrashed MUM FC 10-0.
Rojahn now has 17 goals this season with Buchanan on 16, a combined total that is more than any other team in the division has scored.
Fremantle City’s game with UWA Nedlands was postponed, allowing Mandurah City to move to within a point of second place as they won 2-1 at Hamersley Rovers. Georgia Aiesi gave City the lead before the interval, Christiane Astorp levelled just after the hour, then substitute Suria Priya Varatharaja scored the winner from the penalty spot.
In the other Round 12 match, a Penelope Clayton hat-trick and a goal by Lalayna Richardson gave Perth AFC a 4-0 victory at Sorrento FC.
