An entertaining day at Grindleford Reserve saw Perth RedStar and UWA Nedlands emerge as winners in the two Junior Girls Cup finals.

Football West would like to thank our partners Healthway for promoting healthy eating and their #ThinkMentalHealth campaign during the dat at Balcatta Etna FC.

And special thanks to Perth Glory A-League Women stars Ella Mastrantonio and Lisa De Vanna for participating in a Q&A and assisting with the medal presentation.

Junior Girls U14s Cup final - Perth RedStar 2-2 Fremantle City (RedStar win 6-5 on penalties)

A humdinger of a game to start the day with Perth RedStar coming from 2-0 down at half-time to take the trophy.

Freo flew out of the blocks and goals from skipper Ashten Schipper and Lucia Tomeo had them firmly in charge at half-time.

However, RedStar came roaring back in the second period and Madeleine Russie and Tiahnee Smith dragged them level.

There were no further goals so the match went to penalties, where RedStar triumphed in thrilling circumstances.

Junior Girls U16s Cup final -  UWA Nedlands 5-0 Carramar Shamrock Rovers

A one-sided final with Rovers missing a few key players, but that was of no concern to UWA Nedlands who were outstanding.

Two goals each from Lucy George and captain Madeline Bogust, plus another from Casandra Knights, reflected UWA's dominance.

Carramar were game but were unable to get a foothold in the final, and there was no doubt this was UWA's day.

There was at least some consolation for Rovers the following day as they took the U16s Division One title.
