UPDATE: WA Round Four of the Australia Cup was completed on Sunday afternoon, with no upsets recorded across the weekend.
State League Division One Sorrento FC had little trouble getting past Belt Up Amateur Premier side Maccabi, winning 8-0 at Maccabean Memorial Oval. The Gulls had this in the bag early, with five goals inside the opening 29 minutes. Four of them were scored by skipper Dean Cummings, with the other from Dario Tettamanti. After the interval Zechariah Dabbs, Andrew Maranta and Connor Simpson also netted.

And in the all-Amateur League tie at Butlers Reserve, two goals in four second-half minutes by Sam Mattock and Stefan Hill ensured Premier Division Wembley Downs defeated second division Joondanna Blues 2-0.
On Saturday there were 10 matches, including a game between the current top two in the NPL at Nash Field. That went the way of league leaders Western Knights, who came from two down to beat Floreat Athena 4-2. Guy Davies and Ethan Mom struck for Floreat inside the first 14 minutes, but Knights had levelled by half-time though Konstantinos Sparta and Jack Bardsley. Kristian Santich put Knights in front on 61 minutes and Jesse Lazzaro secured the win two minutes from time.
The other all top-flight clash was at Alfred Skeet Reserve, where visitors Balcatta Etna won 2-1 against Armadale. Etna were 2-0 up early in the second period after goals by Luke Alessandrino and Hasani Sinclair. Armadale, who ended the match with nine players, pulled one back through substitute Pieter Jacobsz but were unable to take it to extra-time.

Olympic Kingsway, who are third in the NPL, faced a potentially tricky test against Division One leaders Dianella White Eagles at a pumped Dianella Reserve. Despite leading scorer Andy Keogh watching from the sidelines, it was Eagles who had the better chances in the first half and it needed Olympic keeper Adrian Sinagra to make three outstanding stops to keep his side on terms. It was a different tale after the break, however, as Olympic showed their quality to run out 4-0 winners. Three goals in eight minutes from Aryn Williams, Joe Knowles and Shane Cassidy ended the tie as a contest, before a stoppage-time own goal by Kevin McEvoy ended the scoring.
Daryl Nicol helped himself to five goals as reigning NPL champions Perth RedStar won 13-0 against Amateur Division One outfit Baldivis SC. Joel Chainese got a hat-trick Sonny O’Shea two, and Keane Embleton-Hill, Matt George and Gomo Dukuly one apiece.

Stirling Macedonia were too strong for high-flying Division Two side Forrestfield United, winning 5-0 at Macedonia Park. Giles Davies (2), Ciaran Byrne (2) and Alex Tanevski were the scorers.
Bottom-of-the-table Inglewood United put aside their troubles in the NPL to beat UWA Nedlands 3-0, the goals scored by Ciaran Salinger, Harry Evans and substitute Benson Nsegetse.
Two early goals from Brian Patterson set up Mandurah City for a 3-0 victory over fellow Division One side Subiaco, with Jordan Callaghan also on the scoresheet for the hosts, while another all first-division encounter saw Gwelup Croatia squeeze past Joondalup United 1-0. The game was heading to penalties until James Harmer popped up with the winner six minutes from the end of extra-time.

Ravi-Raj Singh claimed a hat-trick in second division side Ashfield’s 5-1 win against Alkimos at Paintseal Arena. Hanani Ndebele and Erik Klaiber were Ashfield’s other scorers, while Alkimos, who are in Belt Up Amateur Division Two, at least had the consolation of a late Jordan Bell own goal.
Saturday’s other game was an all-Division Two affair which saw four red cards. Home side Wanneroo City came out on top 3-1 against Kalamunda City, who finished the match three players light. Asa Sippits, Jordan Nastov and David Jallah put the Roos three up, while Cristian Zuluaga pulled one back for Kalamunda.
Four ties took place on Anzac Day on Thursday, with wins for Perth SC, Bayswater City, Fremantle City and Rockingham City. Full details HERE.
The WA Round Five draw is scheduled to take place on Tuesday this week.
