Football West match official Josh Mannella officiated in his 152nd and final A-Leagues - Men’s fixture this past weekend in Perth Glory’s victory over Adelaide United.
Following 16 seasons as an official in the national men’s competition, Mannella is retiring, with his appointments as Assistant Referee in the 2023 Australia Cup final and A-League Men’s semi-final four years earlier particular highlights of an excellent career.
Last weekend, after 16 years and 152 games, the career of one of the A-Leagues most tenured referees came to a close 🇦🇺👏

Football West’s Referee Manager Dave Avison said: “On behalf of Football West and the wider refereeing community, we would like to extend our congratulations to Josh on a stellar career in the A-Leagues competitions.
"Not only has he been one of the most consistently high-performing officials in the country, but he is a great servant to football here in Western Australia and is a role model to other referees, demonstrating what can be achieved with hard work and a fantastic attitude.”
Mannella, who is the current Golden Whistle Male Referee of the Year, will continue to officiate on behalf of Football West.
