The State players and coaching staff recently attended a shirt presentation at the Sam Kerr Football Centre, where team manager Alex Novatsis spoke about the upcoming trip.
“Football West has been sending a WA State Amateur side to Malaysia for over 10 years, notwithstanding Covid,” he said.
“It is a great stage for our Amateur players to test themselves against some of the best teams in Malaysia, who provide excellent training facilities and stadia.
“We are always fantastically received in Malaysia, and it provides another opportunity for us to strengthen the Football West Asian Engagement Strategy, which focuses on building relationships through sporting and cultural exchange visits.”
Football West would like to acknowledge the WA Government for its support of the Asian Engagement Strategy.
