The WA State Boys teams had an exceptional opening day at the 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships, which kicked off at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre today.

More than 100 teams from across the country gathered for the biggest event on the national futsal calendar, hosted by Football Queensland in partnership with Experience Gold Coast.

The WA Boys U12s began the pool matches with a 3-3 draw against NSW Thunder before defeating Victoria White 7-1.

The WA Boys U13s beat Tasmania 9-0, while the U14s were 6-3 winners over Victoria.

The WA Boys U15s continued the winning run with a 5-3 victory against Tasmania, while the WA Boys U16s overcame Solomon Islands 5-3.

In the Girls competition, the WA State U15s kicked off with a solid 4-4 draw against NSW Country. However, WA Girls U17s and WA State Women found the opposition too strong in their opening fixtures.

Day Two is on Wednesday, with selected matches to be livestreamed on the Football Australia YouTube page.
