Country Week is one of the most significant and long-standing events on the Football West calendar, bringing together regional football communities from across Western Australia for a week-long celebration of the game.
Held during the September or October school holidays at multiple venues in Perth, Country Week is a talent identification tournament for regional associations. It provides players with the opportunity to represent their region, compete against peers from across the State, and be identified within the State football pathway.
Traditionally a junior tournament, Country Week has evolved to now include men’s and women’s divisions, reflecting the continued growth of football across all age groups and genders in regional WA.
The tournament is played in a round-robin format followed by finals, combining meaningful competition with development and exposure opportunities. Country Week continues to play an important role in recognising the strength of regional football and reinforcing the connection between regional communities and the broader WA football system.
