The New Balance National Premier Leagues West (NPL WA) is the highest level of the Western Australian league system.
New Balance is the name sponsor of both the NPL WA Men’s competitions.
New Balance NPL WA Men’s
The New Balance NPL WA Men’s competition consists of 12 teams that play 22 home and away rounds to determine the league champions. The title winners go on to represent Football West in the national Australian Championship.
The sides that finish first, second, third and fourth after 22 rounds compete in the stand-alone New Balance NPL WA Men’s Top Four Cup competition.
The team that finishes bottom of the NPL WA Men’s competition are relegated to State League Division One and replaced by the Division One champions.
The side finishing second bottom enter a play-off with the teams that finish second, third and fourth in Division One to determine who plays in the NPL the following season.
