Coaching Pathway

From Grassroots to Professional

Whether you are coaching your child’s first team or aspiring to work in the professional game, Football West supports a clear coaching pathway to help you grow.

Starting with the Foundation of Football and progressing through the various Diplomas, coaches gain the knowledge, skills and qualifications needed to develop players, lead teams and make a lasting impact on the game.

In Western Australia, the coaching pathway follows the national accreditation framework developed by Football Australia and is delivered locally through Football West.
